About GeoInsider

"Geopolitics doesn't wait for business hours. Neither do we."

GeoInsider is an independent geopolitical intelligence project built by a small team of analysts and researchers. We run @InsiderGeo on X — over 63K followers — with an active community on Substack and Discord.

Our team combines backgrounds in geopolitical analysis, OSINT research, and military history. We have published articles on military history and conducted independent research at military archives in Italy and abroad. We cover geopolitical risk, military affairs, maritime security, conflict monitoring, and strategic forecasting across every major region — with no geographic tunnel vision.

GeoInsider is built around one principle: clarity under uncertainty. We distinguish verified facts from probability assessments, propaganda from analysis, and speculation from evidence. We publish in English and Italian, and we are committed to making complex geopolitical dynamics accessible without sacrificing accuracy.

The long-term vision is to grow GeoInsider into a respected independent intelligence brand — integrating public OSINT content, premium reports, strategic briefings, and B2B risk intelligence, independent of social media algorithms.

What We're Building

GeoInsider is evolving from a social media channel into an independent geopolitical intelligence brand — credible, rigorous, and platform-independent.

Public OSINT Content

Real-time conflict monitoring, verified breaking analysis, and open-source intelligence across X, Substack, and Discord — fast, human, and accessible.

Premium Intelligence Reports

In-depth geopolitical risk assessments, conflict deep-dives, and strategic forecasting — for subscribers, analysts, and decision-makers who need more than a thread.

Strategic Briefings

Executive-level geopolitical briefings tailored for governments, corporations, and investors navigating high-risk environments and emerging conflict zones.

B2B Risk Intelligence

Recurring geopolitical risk services for companies operating in volatile regions — maritime security, conflict exposure, supply chain risk, and regulatory monitoring.

Community & Education

An active Discord community for real-time discussion, source sharing, and analytical debate — open to researchers, analysts, and engaged citizens worldwide.

Editorial Independence

No algorithm dependence. No sponsors shaping our conclusions. GeoInsider remains rigorous, transparent, and methodologically honest — always distinguishing fact from assessment from speculation.

Methodology

Rigorous geopolitical intelligence isn't luck — it's process. GeoInsider clearly distinguishes verified facts, probability assessments, and speculation. Here's how we build, verify, and publish.

01

Multi-Source Verification

Every claim requires corroboration from a minimum of three independent sources before publication. Single-source reporting is flagged explicitly as unverified.

02

Geolocation & Imagery

Satellite imagery from Planet Labs and Sentinel Hub, cross-referenced with ground-level OSINT, to physically locate and verify reported events and damage assessments.

03

Real-Time Monitoring

During active conflicts, primary source channels are checked every two hours. Telegram networks, flight trackers, and maritime AIS feeds are monitored in parallel.

04

Uncertainty is Explicit

Claims are graded by confidence level. Unverified, probable, and confirmed are each labelled distinctly. GeoInsider never presents ambiguity as fact.

05

Transparent Corrections

When errors are identified, corrections are published with equal prominence to the original claim. Source credibility is continuously reassessed.

06

Academic Cross-Reference

Long-form analyses are grounded in peer-reviewed literature from RAND, IISS, JSTOR, and academic databases — differentiating strategic analysis from real-time reporting.

Source Hierarchy

Tier 1

Primary Sources

Official government statements, confirmed satellite imagery, first-party documents, and authenticated video with geolocation verification.

Tier 2

Established Investigative Outlets

Reuters, AP, BBC, and verified academic papers. Cross-referenced against at least one other Tier 1 or 2 source.

Tier 3

Named OSINT Researchers

Corroborated reporting from named, established OSINT community members with documented track records and disclosed methodologies.

Tier 4

Social Media Signals

Used exclusively as leads to investigate further — never as a sole source for any published claim. Always labelled as unverified until cross-referenced.

Platform Presence

GeoInsider's presence across platforms — updated monthly.
